DATASMART LCI Package

It includes a wide range of materials, detailed electricity mixes for all 50 U.S. states and 13 Canadian provinces and territories, and extensive coverage of industries such as textiles, packaging, bio-materials, dairy, electronics, and waste treatment, helping practitioners model real-world North American supply chains with greater accuracy and confidence while supporting PCR requirements.
The DATASMART LCI Package is developed and maintained by Long Trail Sustainability (LTS) with one update a year. It is sold as a package and is available to active SimaPro license holders.

Wherever possible, DATASMART replaces links to European unit processes with U.S. and Canada-specific data for key inputs such as electricity, natural gas, and agricultural products. It incorporates the latest USLCI processes and replaces hundreds of placeholder datasets with appropriate proxies.
Electricity mixes for the U.S. and Canada
Comprehensive electricity mixes are available for all 50 U.S. states, 13 Canadian provinces and territories, as well as nine U.S. NERC regions and 26 eGRID subregions, enabling users to assess the impacts of shifting production across regions.
Original LTS data
DATASMART contains over 700 original datasets across industries such as textiles, packaging, bio-materials, metals, and dairy. It also expands waste modeling with new U.S. landfill data, zero water-content treatments, and updated scenarios for white goods, electronics, and more.
